You will start at Sierra Academy with an M1 Student visa that is valid for one year, but it is possible to extend it if you have not yet completed your training. During this time you will receive the Private and Commercial certificates with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings.

After this, you decide if you want to return to your country for conversion and continue your career there, or if you want to continue here in the US.

If you decide to stay in the US, you will apply for an F1 visa with our affiliate University. This will enable you to continue your training to earn your Flight Instructor Certificate and other ratings required by a flight instructor. At the completion of your training, and while studying for your Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, you can, through our agreement with the university, work as a flight instructor at Sierra Academy.

Once you have your flight hours and your degree, you are eligible for employment in most entry level first officer positions around the world (after conversion in the respective country.)

Further continuation in the US is possible for one year on the F1 visa after completed studies. After that you can only stay in the country if you have gained residency status in any form.
